“Boosting citizens’ activism to monitor and report unlawful conduct of local administration” is a 12-months project for promotion of tools for citizens’ control of the work of local institutions and strengthening capacities of the local NGOs and citizen activists to implement laws. The project will be implemented in the period 2019-2020.
ISIE will use the funds to raise awareness regarding the obligations to implement three crucial laws that stipulate citizens’ rights to monitor the work of the national and local authorities; strengthen their capacities to effectively implement the laws; develop new methodology for monitoring; strengthen the capacities of local NGOs through 5 trainings (trainings will be available for all interested NGOs and mentoring program for selected 5 NGOs), local media support through mentoring sessions, conduct monitoring of 25 local institutions, launch a local media campaign for promotion of the monitoring instrument and increase the number of reports.
